Accuracy & Precision in Medicine
To learn about accuracy and precision in medicine, we worked with significant figures, and diagnosed people's health. We added, subtracted, and multiplied numbers and determined the amount of significant figures the product was supposed to have. To illustrate how accuracy and precision is important in medicine we diagnosed patients health, using significant figures to determine if their health was normal, high or low.
Learning Objectives
A learning objective that I met through this activity were significant figures. I learned what they were, how many numbers to have and how to add, subtract and multiply with them. Another learning objective I met through this activity was how to use significant figures to diagnose someones health. I learned that the amount of significant figures matter because the diagnosis of patients range from a certain amount of numbers.
Significant figures apply to be medical field because they are important for measurements. Anyone taking weight, height, or measuring the dosage can use significant figures to make a precise measurement.

Career Spotlight
Significant figures can be very useful to nurses because they take the measurement s of the patients, such as weight, height, temperature and take other tests for doctors to look at. It is important that they use significant figures because they can have exact measurements and information to give to the doctors and the doctors can then give patients the correct medicine and dosage.
